Teknova aims for the best possible reputation by being an attractive place of work for well renowned researchers and research fellows. At the same time we want to show flexibility by adapting to the new knowledge and qualifications demanded, as well as meet the expectation set by employers and the society.

Our values shall reflect how we act as individuals, research teams and institute.

Knowledge and resources

Teknova’s core is our individual and collective knowledge, our laboratories and also our immaterial resources.  Equally important is our collaboration with the University of Agder, Agderforskning and other research institutes/environments, as well as with cooperating businesses and organisations.

Respect

We respect our co-workers’ tasks and roles and we therefore wish to act with integrity, and accept that our goals and roles may differ, as individuals but also at the organisational level.

Quality

The quality of our work is assured through a well functioning dialogue with our employers and through internal control. We wish to maintain the level of quality demanded in cases where the EU or the Research Council of Norway supports the project, and also where we ourselves contribute with articles and presentations at international research conferences, and with articles in peer-reviewed academic journals.

Collaboration

We wish to achieve best possible cooperation through open and including behaviour, and at the same time work with a purpose. We recognize that cooperation is vital for our own and other’s growth and development.

Perspective

Our goals for operation, presence and tasks are all long-term. We wish to be foresighted, make plans and develop strategies for our operation and for research management. It is important for Teknova to be recognized both nationally and internationally.

Value for owners and users

Our owners have renowned their rights to direct return from the research operation, in the sense that Teknova does not pay out dividends. Teknova Invest will commercialize patent technologies and system solutions from Teknova. Our users hold the exclusive right to the use of research results and developed technology.

Intellectual rights

Teknova’s employers own the rights to the results of the research that they finance.
