Agreement with Christian Michelsen Research
Teknova has signed a formal contract of collaboration with Christian Michelsen Research in Bergen. The specialty fields of the two research institutes overlap in several areas. Knowing this, a wish for co-operation between the organisations has been expressed rooted in a contract of co-operation.
Christian Michelsen Research (CMR) is Norway’s oldest polytechnic research institute, with roots back to 1930. CMR’s vision is to make “research for industrial development”, by bringing ideas and research results to commercial products and industrial solutions. The company works with projects for both private and public businesses.
The contract of collaboration shall contain the following specialty fields in the first period (2012):
- Collaboration on establishing a centre for industrial diagnostics and co-ordination with Senter for D&V
- Optic and laser technology
- Cybernetics
- Acoustics
- Electromagnetism
- Renewable energy
