Boyan has a master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The topic of her master’s degree was titanium nitride nano-powder with honeycomb structure used in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Boyan has a doctor’s degree in Material Technology from the University of Tokyo, and her thesis was on development of process technology of electrode material for polymer-solid electrolytic capacitors. Boyan spent two and a half years working as a Post doc. at the Department of Material Technology at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Boyan is part of the process technology team in Teknova, and she contributes with her knowledge in electrochemistry, thermodynamics and material technology. She has experience in developing process techniques for materials, metallothermic reduction and electrolysis in molten salts and aqueous solutions. Boyan has been working in Teknova since 2010.
